right on target

Umm... have you heard about this? Target has partnered with 24 CFDA designers and department store Neiman Marcus to create a killer holiday collection to be sold both in stores and online starting December 1.

The designers on-board include:
Alice + Olivia (um, yes.)
Altuzarra
Band of Outsiders
Brian Atwood
Carolina Herrera
Derek Lam (yes, please.)
Diane von Furstenberg (YES!)
Eddie Borgo
Jason Wu
Judith Leiber
Lela Rose
Marchesa
Marc Jacobs (dying!)
Oscar de la Renta
Philip Crangi
Prabal Gurung
Proenza Schouler
Rag & Bone
Robert Rodriguez
Rodarte
Skaist-Taylor
Thom Browne
Tory Burch (shut. up.)
Tracy Reese

That's one heck of a list! According to Target's website prices will range from $8 to $500 (really, Target?), with most items coming in under $60. Each designer reportedly created one to three items.

While there's no word yet on specific products, Target promises the collab will include "home décor, pet products, sporting goods, and more." The full collection will be revealed in October, but I'm hoping some photos will leak before then.

I had high hopes for the most recent "The Shops" collab featuring Privet House, but I was a little underwhelmed. Was I the only one? Hopefully this collection lives up to the hype.

diy: burlap door hanger

My sis-in-law and bro-in-law are expecting their second baby and until last week we didn't know if Baby 2 was a boy or a girl. (If the suspense is killing you... IT'S A BOY!) They shared the exciting news at the lake while the fam was all together. I wanted to have a special little gift for them to open if the baby was a boy, and of course, if it happened to be a girl. After visiting what seemed like every baby store in Nashville I came up empty handed.

i {heart} this house: kristin alber

I spend all day with my eyes glued to the computer, so when quitting time rolls around I usually spring from my chair and sprint out of my office. Which just so happens to be a bedroom in our house, so I don't sprint far... actually, it's more of a fast paced walk to the other side of the house. But the other day while catching up on some reading at The Lettered Cottage, I came across a post about Kristin Alber's home and I literally could not peel my eyes from the screen. This house is ah-mazing! So airy and fresh.  I wanted to soak it up, memorize it and recreate her beautiful little vignettes all over my own home.

Oh, and apparently Kristin and her hubby own two shops in Mesa, AZ - Domestic Bliss and Found. A to-die-for-house and an incredible shop? It's like something out of the movies. Namely, this movie. And yes, I'm a teensy bit jealous.

cha, cha, cha, changes

I cannot believe it has already been three months since we've been in Kendall! On one hand it feels like we just moved in and on the other if feels as if we've been here forever. Here are just a few of the many changes that Kendall has seen these last few months.
